Noella Leduc (née Alverson; December 23, 1933 – August 22, 2014) was an American pitcher and outfielder known for her remarkable career in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. Born in Graniteville, Westford, Massachusetts, Leduc's passion for baseball was evident from a young age, honing her skills playing sandlot ball with neighborhood kids. Her talent caught the eye of AAGPBL catcher Rita Briggs, leading to a successful tryout and subsequent participation in the league's spring training in Peoria, Illinois.Throughout her career, Leduc showcased her pitching prowess and versatile outfield skills, leaving a lasting impact on the sport. Notably, she was the winning pitcher in the last All-Star Game in 1954 and played an instrumental role in her team's successes. Leduc's dedication and talent earned her a revered place in the history of women in baseball, and she remains a cherished figure in the sport.
