Norbert Klein (25 October 1866 – 10 March 1933) was a prominent figure who served as the Bishop of Brno from 1916 to 1926 and the 59th Grand Master of the Teutonic Order from 1923 to 1933. He embarked on his theological studies in 1885 at Olomouc before joining the Teutonic Order's novitiate in 1887. Ordained to the priesthood on 27 July 1890, Klein took his solemn profession in the order in 1892. His contributions led to his appointment as the Prior of Opava in 1903. Notably, Klein became the first clerical grand master of the Teutonic Order on 30 April 1923. Following his resignation as Bishop of Brno in 1926, he was named Titular Bishop of Syene. Klein's legacy continued as he transformed the order into a monastic one in 1929. His passing on 10 March 1933 marked the end of an era, and he was laid to rest in Bruntál. Klein's influence endured, as his nephew, Robert Schälzky, succeeded him as the grand master of the Teutonic Order.
