Rosana Paulino, born in 1967 in São Paulo, is a prominent Brazilian contemporary artist, curator, and researcher. With a doctorate in Visual Arts from the University of São Paulo and a specialization in printmaking from the London Print Studio, Paulino's diverse artistic repertoire encompasses drawing, embroidery, engraving, printmaking, collage, and sculpture. Her work delves into archetypes, memory, familial legacies, and the histories of racial violence and slavery in Brazil, particularly focusing on Black female psychology.Paulino's art has been showcased in numerous exhibitions worldwide, including prominent solo exhibitions in Belgium, Germany, and Brazil, and her works are featured in the collection of the Pérez Art Museum Miami, Florida.
