Throughout his career, Rudd engaged in cross-cultural collaborations, such as MALIcool (2001) with Malian musicians and an album with the Mongolian Buryat Band titled Blue Mongol. His contributions were recognized with accolades including Grammy nominations and awards such as Trombonist of the Year by the Jazz Journalists Association. Rudd's impact extended beyond performances, as he also taught ethnomusicology and conducted master classes and workshops worldwide. In response, Mason demonstrated leadership by imposing martial law in collaboration with General Philip Sheridan. Notably, he was the last non-Republican or Democratic Mayor of Chicago. He eventually settled in California, where he focused on fruit growing. He significantly contributed to the development of Nevada, spearheading initiatives to strengthen the state's economy and promote Women's Suffrage during his tenure as governor. Colcord's achievements also include establishing a state board of health, initiating a mechanical engineering department at the University of Nevada, and authorizing the first state board of equalization. Following his governorship, he served as the Superintendent of the United States Mint's Carson City Mint. Colcord passed away at the age of 100 and was laid to rest at the Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City, Nevada. His contributions to Nevada's development and his support for women's rights left a lasting legacy.
