Suzan Maxine Farmer (16 June 1942 – 17 September 2017) was an English actress known for her roles in film and television. Born in Maidstone, Kent, she later moved to Bray in Berkshire, near Bray Studios, which was later used by Hammer Films. Farmer's career took off with lead roles in several Hammer swashbuckling and horror films of the 1960s, including "The Scarlet Blade," "The Devil-Ship Pirates," "Dracula, Prince of Darkness," and "Rasputin, the Mad Monk." She also appeared in other films such as "Die, Monster, Die!" and "633 Squadron," as well as various British television series. Farmer was a founding member of John Fraser's London Shakespeare Group and contributed to stage performances in various productions. Notably, she was married to actor Ian McShane from 1965 to 1968. After her acting career ended, Farmer faced personal struggles, including depression and alcoholism.
