Tomo Đurov Milinović, also known as Tomo Milinović, was a prominent Serbian writer and revolutionary who played a vital role in the First Serbian Uprising against the Ottoman Empire. Born in Morinj in the Bay of Kotor, he started his career as a sailor and later became a successful merchant in Trieste, expanding his trading networks across Europe. In 1809, he joined the uprising and became a trusted advisor and head of artillery under Karađorđe Petrović. His strategic expertise and leadership were instrumental in the pivotal Battle of Deligrad, where the Serbian army achieved a remarkable victory over the Turks. Following the uprising's failure, he sought exile in the Russian Empire, where he authored two books. Unfortunately, Tomo Milinović passed away in exile in 1846, despite efforts to bring him back to Serbia.
