Zia McCabe, born Aimee Springer on June 2, 1975, is a versatile American musician and realtor. She is a multi-instrumentalist, proficient in keyboards, percussion, and bass guitar, and is notably recognized as a member of the renowned American alternative rock band, The Dandy Warhols. Additionally, McCabe showcases her talent as a solo DJ, performing under the moniker DJ Rescue, and is a part of the six-piece country music band called Brush Prairie. Raised in a self-built log cabin in Battle Ground, Washington, by her father, an autobody worker turned engineer, and her artist mother, McCabe was exposed to the arts from a young age. She pursued her passion for music, joining The Dandy Warhols in 1995, despite having minimal prior musical experience. McCabe is also a licensed Realtor/Broker in Oregon and is currently associated with Living Room Realty in Portland. She has been politically active, endorsing candidates and engaging in community initiatives, while also advocating for cannabis usage at the state and federal levels. Alongside her professional endeavors, she has balanced personal life, notably continuing to perform and record music while pregnant with her daughter Matilda Louise.
