Lucien Dugas was a prominent Quebec educator, lawyer, and political figure, known for representing Joliette in the Legislative Assembly of Quebec from 1927 to 1936 as a Liberal. Dugas, who was admitted to the Quebec bar in 1921, also held leadership roles such as bâtonnier for the Laurentian district of the Quebec bar in 1953-54 and director of the Joliette telephone company. He contributed to education by teaching at the Séminaire de Joliette, where he was also educated, alongside his studies at the Université de Montréal.
